2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers
will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.
We will honor them by remembering their lives,
and not by remembering their murderers.

With 20-some days left before Sept.11, there are still about 1,000 bloggers needed to each post a tribute to one victim of 9/11. I personally feel this wil be the most important thing I have ever participated in on the Internet....being part of a worldwide remembrance of the many lives lost on that day,honoring their lives one by one.
